Professional Development Planning (PDP)
This guide outlines the process for using the online Professional Development Plan (PDP). The PDP is a tool designed to facilitate your professional growth and planning throughout the annual cycle.
1. Accessing Your PDP
The PDP is accessed and completed online, compatible with computers, tablets, and phones.
The document can be saved and printed for your records.
Upon submission, you will receive an email containing a link to your PDP.
Retain this email and link. This link provides ongoing access to your PDP for:
Editing and updates as needed.
Logging activities and reflections related to your professional development.
Reviewing and evaluating your progress.
2. PDP Cycle
The PDP cycle operates annually, commencing at the start of each year and concluding on the corresponding date the following year.
At the end of each cycle, review your progress against your outlined goals.
To initiate a new PDP for the subsequent cycle:
Access the designated PDP link for the new cycle, which will be provided at the cycle commencement.
Start a new PDP document.
For ongoing goals, utilise the copy/paste function to transfer relevant goals from your previous PDP to the new document.
3. Pre-PDP Checklist
Ensure you have all necessary documentation and information prepared prior to commencing your PDP.
Verify the accuracy of your email address entry in the PDP form, as this is where your access link will be sent.
Following PDP submission, complete an Additional Hours Application to request up to 2 hours for PDP completion (only once in a cycle).

For guidance on PDP content or professional development planning, consult with your Educational Leader or Education Manager.
