What to do if you are unwell:

  • As part of your service orientation ask what procedures are in place.

  • Follow the procedures of the service.

  • If you are not aware of the service procedures, call the ‘Call ’After Hours Only’ Number’ on the Employee App, and relief will be organised for you. Also let your service know you won’t be in and to expect relief staff.

  • Focus on you and feeling better.

  • Access the NERPSA App or Staff Resources Website and submit a Leave Application Form.

What to do if you need to take leave in the future:

  • Follow the service procedures.

  • If you know a colleague or relief staff who can do your shift, organise relief and let the Nominated Supervisor at your service know.

  • Submit a Leave Application Form to inform NERPSA of your plans as soon as possible.

  • If you are not aware of a colleague or relief staff who can do your shift, please write this on your Leave Application Form and relief will be arranged for you.
